CHARLES GONNET, CREMANT DE SAVOIE NV
Domaine Gonnet holds about 13 Hectares in the heart of the Savoie region in the French Alps at the border of Switzerland, where it has been producing wines for generations in the town of Chignin. A traditional estate with tremendous quality and value, these surprising wines complement a wide range of cuisine and occasions.
Grape: 100% Jacquère
Soil: Limestone and Marl, perfect for white grapes Farming: organic practices.
Wine making: Low fermentation temperature for finesse. Minimum of 9 months of traditional second fermentation in the bottle.
Tasting notes: transparent fresh style, with bright citrus, melon and a delicate mineral finish.
DOMAINE CAZES, VERMENTINO “ROLLE IN STONE”, COTES CATALANES 2024
Cazes is a large estate located in Roussillon, South of France near the Spanish border, surrounded by the Pyrenean Mountains, facing the Mediterranean sea. As pioneer in the Bio-dynamic winemaking production, Domaine Cazes bases its work on total harmony between grape varieties, climate and the natural and human environment.
Grape: 100% Vermentino (Rolle) Farming: certified organic with bio-dynamic practices.
Soil: Clay – limestone Wine making: all temperature controlled stainless steel fermentation.
Tasting notes: floral and fruity wine, acacia flowers, peach and lemon zest, showing inviting energy and appealing texture.
DOMAINE DU CHALET, POUILLY-FUISSÉ 2023
This winery has been family operated in this famous part of Southern Burgundy since 1850. Marie-Eve and her parents now run Domaine du Chalet which spreads on 8.5 Hectares, farmed with passion in respect of ancestral traditions.
Grape: 100% Chardonnay Farming: sustainable
Soil: Clay - limestone
Wine making: partial fermentation in neutral barrels.
Tasting notes: Golden color, generous baked apple aromas and flavors. It is complex, and elegant with notes of wild flowers and citrus. Round mouthfeel and mineral finish.
DOMAINE ROMY BOURGOGNE Pinot Noir 2021
Domaine Romy is a property of 20 hectares in the “Pierres Dorées” area in the south of Beaujolais. Dominique and his son Nicolas Romy are 10th generation winemakers tied to the land. They cultivate their vines in a natural manner, strictly adhering to Terra Vitis requirements – their main objective is to maintain the biological balance of the vines and soil with as little human intervention as possible.
Old-fashioned agriculture is king at Domaine Romy, with grass growing between the vines and special attention dedicated to green harvesting in order to lower the yields and maintain the high quality of the grapes.
Grape: 100% Pinot Noir
DOMAINE CHANCELLE, SAUMUR-CHAMPIGNY “VIEILLES VIGNES” 2023
Thierry Chancelle and his wife Lydie run this beautiful family estate between the towns of Chinon and Saumur, at the heart of the Loire Valley region. They practice as natural an approach as possible and produce powerful and elegant red and white wines.
Grape: 100% Cabernet Franc 50+ years old vines. Farming: organic practices Soil: clay – limestone slopes
Wine making: long fermentations at cool temperature in neutral oak barrels.
Tasting notes: Deep red with purple hints. Small, ripe red fruit aromas and flavors. Rich and with a dense and fine tannic structure, it is supple and superbly well balanced.
CHATEAU PATACHE D’AUX, MÉDOC CRU BOURGEOIS 2018
With a history dating back to 1660 this 60-hectare property is located in the village of Bégadan, 30 km from the Atlantic Ocean on Bordeaux region’s famous left bank. This Chateau is ranked among the best Crus of the Appellation, second only to the most renowned Chateaux that sell for then times the price. The production here is conducted meticulously to express a unique limestone terroir, conferring remarkable finesse to the wine.
Grapes: 65 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot
Farming: Organic practices, high density plantation with unusual proportion of Cabernet for the local area.
Soil: unique limestone rich soil Wine making: careful selection, fermentation parcel by parcel, aged with a combination of different sizes of oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: beautiful black cherry, plum, chocolate, cloves, gravel and scored earth blast across the palate. A heady, opulent Médoc Cru Bourgeois.
